Hello everyone,

It is now spring time and I for one love this time of year when new life is all around us! At our gathering on May 5^th we will be hearing a couple of inspirational songs by the Men for Christ Thanksgiving Choir, lead by Lawrence Irvine. We will then be hearing from Dr. Mark Bowman MD, an emergency medical physician at our hospital since 1994, he was recently honored with the 2011 Physician Mission Award by our hospital. Dr. Bowman’s personal faith shines through his life as he ministers here locally and around the world, he responded in 2004 with Medical Teams International to Indonesian earthquake and tsunami survivors and most recently led a MTI team to Libya, which will be his topic for the morning.

We will also be hearing a short report about our local outreach to youth this summer called “Sports Camp” by Dave Nelson.

Mission updates: Diane Dias is back from her one month mission trip to Romania, we should be hearing from her soon. Mary Dean headed for Israel   and Bob and Verna Creech will be heading to Kenya and Uganda in May for two weeks, please keep these folks in your prayers!
