Rich Gitschlag
PCM Summit - Publicity Director
Profession: Owner, North Coast Engineering Company
Church: Tillamook Christian Center, Tillamook
Rich moved to Tillamook in 1990 and has been actively involved in various ministries and community groups almost from the beginning. From being an active member of the local Toastmasters club and the County Traffic Safety Committee, through being a board member of the Tillamook County Men for Christ, Rich has tried to bring the example of Christ to the community through a wide variety of methods.
Rich came to Christ in 1973, minutes before getting married to his wife Linda. Since that time, his walk with God has taken several turns, starting in a little Baptist (GARB) church in southwest Portland, to another St. Johns (CBA). While there he was active in the Christian Businessmen’s Association, Full-Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship and Toastmasters. Upon moving to Tillamook, he became active in the local Lutheran (Missouri Synod) church, while becoming active with the Countywide Intercessors and the Men for Christ. More recently, Rich moved to the Tillamook Christian Center (AG), where he continued his active involvement with Men for Christ and starting the Adopt-a-Block ministry.
Rich is deeply interested in men’s ministries, especially recovering from the widespread dilution of proper masculinity – recovery from a weakened manhood without falling into the opposite macho excess that feminism is right in opposing.
