Larry became a resident of Tillamook County in 1983 when he moved there with his family to accept a position at Tillamook County General Hospital. Larry has been active for many years in disaster relief and has responded to disasters in several countries around the world.
His religious experience changed while on a mission trip in Mexico with a Nazarene Youth group. While on that trip he learned about the person of Jesus Christ, His Love, and His mercy. In 2000, after some challenging experiences, Larry pledged to serve Christ by going anywhere he was sent, and to doing anything he was asked to do. One of the recent assignments was to be the pastor of Oceanside Chapel. He was ordained by the Tillamook Christian Ministerial Association as the Pastor of the Oceanside Chapel in January of 2007.
After attending the High Desert Men's Summit in Redmond Oregon, a desire to see a similar opportunity for the men of Tillamook County. His prayer is that not only the men of Tillamook County, but that every man who attends the Pacific Coast Men's Summit can develop a closer relationship with the person of Jesus Christ
