Leadership Seminar to feature

Join with other men and women from the NW who will be attending the Pointman Leadership Seminar, Friday September 25th or Saturday Sept. 26th. The eight hour seminar will begin at 8.00 am both days, at the Tillamook Church of the Nazarene, Wirick Hall, 2611 3rd Street, in Tillamook, Or.
Pointman Leadership Institute is an organization who provides ethics training for audiences worldwide in biblical character-based, principled leadership. PLI’s mission is to serve those in leadership in law enforcement, military, government, business, education, churches, or the family.
PLI is a consortium of police, military and private sector experienced leaders who have combined their extensive leadership experience to develop practical curricula on a variety of leadership topics. It was formed in 1994 by Robert L. Vernon Assistant Chief of Police, LAPD (Ret) who will be one of the trainers for both days.
The Foundations Seminar: Powerful Leadership and Character will cover the following topics. 1. The difference between leaders and managers. 2. Behaviors of effective leaders. 3. Character traits of dynamic leaders. 4. Foundational principles. 5. Organization life-cycle. These seminars have been presented over 550 times to over 40,000 government, parliament members, military leaders, police officials, business professionals, educators, nonprofit organizations, church leaders and families in nearly 50 countries worldwide.
The mission of PLI is to serve, support and encourage those in leadership by training men and women in character development, creating inspirational trustworthy leadership. They strongly believe that true leadership is more about who you are than what technical skills you may possess. The seminars do address certain behaviors and techniques, but go further than intellect; they penetrate to the inner life of the leader, and focus on the character of those who would be leaders.
